Environmental Awareness Through Education and Play

To celebrate World Environment Day, H Hotels Collection invited young guests to explore environmental awareness through interactive activities, and hands-on learning experiences that highlighted the importance of protecting our planet.

Every year on 5 June, World Environment Day reminds us that caring for our planet is a responsibility shared across generations. While environmental challenges can often feel complex, some of the most meaningful lessons begin with simple conversations, creative activities, and curious young minds.

This year, H Hotels Collection marked World Environment Day by inviting its youngest guests to explore the importance of environmental awareness through a series of educational and interactive activities across Lindos Princess Beach Resort & Spa, Rodos Princess Beach Resort & Spa, and Princess Andriana Resort & Spa.

At Princess Andriana Resort & Spa, children participated in The Melting Ice project, a hands-on experiment designed to demonstrate the impact of rising global temperatures on polar ice caps and sea levels. Through observation and discussion, they learned how climate change can influence weather patterns, ecosystems, and the world around them, transforming a global challenge into an engaging learning experience.

Inspiring the Next Generation to Care for Our Planet

At Lindos Princess Beach Hotel and Rodos Princess Beach Hotel, young guests came together to create the All-Around-the-World Wishes Tree. Children from different countries shared messages, drawings, and wishes for the future of our planet on leaf-shaped cards, which were then assembled into a colourful tree display.

The activity celebrated not only environmental awareness but also the idea that protecting nature is a responsibility that transcends borders and cultures.

Throughout the day, our animation teams encouraged conversations about sustainability, helping children understand how even small actions can contribute to positive environmental change. Through creativity, teamwork, and play, they were able to connect with important environmental topics in a way that was both enjoyable and memorable.
