1. Elli beach – This is the best beach nearest to Rhodes old town. It is a lively, cosmopolitan beach full of amenities, with a fun-packed attitude due to the numerous beach bars you will find there that play up-beat music. Due to its central location it tends to be a popular choice and so you should expect it to be crowded. One unusual feature of this beach is a diving tower that has been built in the sea.

2. Anthony Quinn bay & Ladiko beach – Immortalized on the silver screen by the 1961 film ‘The Guns of Navarone’, the local story goes that during filming actor Anthony Quinn fell in love with Rhodes and bought a plot of land close to the bay which was then named after him. It is one of the most beautiful and tranquil coves of the island and a definite must-visit during your luxury holidays in Rhodes. One cove over is Ladiko bay, offering a similar, semi-organized setup with a few sun loungers and a beach canteen.
